A beautiful lake

Also called Förmitz Dam. Interesting facts: The dam is a rockfill dam with a sealing core. The inner seal consists of a diaphragm wall made of earth concrete (clay concrete), which has a clay core on both sides and a support body made of rock and stone. The main reservoir has an area of 116 hectares and a storage volume of around 10 million cubic metres. The length and width of the reservoir are around 1.2 km. Long bathing area with lots of shady spots, a few benches and good, flat access to the lake. As it is a bit rocky, I recommend bringing bathing shoes.

Next to the hut there are a few steps up. From there you have a beautiful view of the Epprechtstein.

Each of the fractions is slightly different. This has less high rock walls, it has a large area of water that cannot be completely seen.

Beautiful storage, ideal for swimming, clean, access via the driveway at the DLRG house or via the stones.

Great facility with swimming access, partly also via stairs with handrails. Sailing club and beach facility. Beautiful path around it for walking or cycling.

The Eger reservoir is idyllically located in the Fichtel Mountains. There is a beautifully developed path all around with lots of things to discover, such as: the figure of an owl on a resting place or the frog placed on a tree protruding into the water.
