It's super nice there. There's a pub across the parking lot and a small house with two vending machines. And barbecue areas.

The Wental on foot or by bike from Steinheim, through the Gnannental and the dam up to the Felsenmeer is always worth a tour.

Beautiful long dry valley south of the Kocher source

The Wental is always worth a trip, whether on foot or by bike! On the weekends when the weather is nice, however, you should expect a lot of hustle and bustle and crowds. If you're lucky, you might be able to find a place to stay somewhere. Otherwise, continue on to the dam, where it's a bit quieter.

A very beautiful dry valley near Oberkochen. The approx. 5 km long Tiefental is a dry valley of particular charm and is therefore also a landscape protection area. The valley floor is largely forest-free. About 2.5 km up the valley, the never-ending "Hubertusquelle" has its source at the layer boundary Weißjura Gamma/Delta (570 m above sea level). A small dammed pond is fed by it. After a few 100 m, the water seeps into the gravel bed of the Tiefental. At the confluence of the Tiefental and the Urbrenztal, the "Fleinsquelle" rises when the water level is high. It shows that the Tiefental drains mainly to the Kocher.
