The Treibsee lake is quietly hidden in the middle of the Welzheim Forest. It resembles a small, enchanted lake, almost mystical depending on the weather. Swathes of fog, mirror-smooth water, and the tranquility of the forest make this place the perfect spot for a short break. In the heart of the Welzheim Forest, you'll find the Trögleshütte, where you can take a relaxing break. This simple yet charming refuge offers shelter from sudden rain and is the perfect place to enjoy the tranquility of the forest. Here, you can relax and recharge your batteries before continuing on.

The hut isn't far, but it's located in the blazing sun. A bench in the shade with a view of the lake is just what you need.

There was a fire pit and some wood in the hut itself. Perhaps just by chance... Still, thank you very much for the invitation and for getting it 😉 Trash cans are also available.

It's a forest restaurant with definitely interesting opening hours: "Closed Fridays 2 p.m. to 5 p.m." Since I was there during that exact time frame, I can say: Yes, it's true. It was too... Otherwise, I can't say anything about the place...

Mecki is only closed on Fridays between 2 and 5. Those are opening hours that make every Späti in Berlin look stuffy and stuffy 👍💪.
