Kerbenhof district Kerbenhof-Hülbe Further traces of medieval settlement in today's Zang district can be found in the western Kerbenhof district, where a sizeable farm was once farmed for many centuries. As early as 1143, the name Körben appears in the foundation estates of the Anhausen monastery and refers to a hamlet that is overgrown with wood. After several changes of ownership, the farm came to the Duchy of Württemberg in 1707, and was acquired by Zanger citizens in 1848 after lengthy negotiations, thereby increasing the district by around 70 hectares. In the same year, the farm was demolished due to dilapidation, so that today nothing of the former buildings can be seen. The Christental flood retention basin is located in the Göppingen district in Baden-Württemberg and is operated - like the Herrenbach and Simonsbach flood retention basins - by the Fils water association. The dammed Schwarzwiesenbach is a tributary of the Lauter in the Fils catchment area. The Christental is located in the Stauferland near Lauterstein north of the Nenningen district; it was supposedly named after a fictitious battle between pagans and Christians, which has been located here since around 1800 - following a fiction by the chronicler Thomas Lirer.
