Once again one of the many "witches' dance places" in the region. But this one is particularly beautiful - not least because of the beautiful wooden figure! I really liked it here! 👍😊😇

The forest lake is undoubtedly magical. But when I visit it, I prefer to take the route from below out of the Preißbachtal. This access road, which is part of the Rabenlay dream loop, is a bit scary to me because of the density of wild boars in the area.

The campsite is located in the middle of the Upper Middle Rhine Valley, which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, at a distance of around 16.5 km from downtown Koblenz. The site has a total area of 8.5 hectares and has a total of 315 parking spaces, around 100 of which are located directly on the Rhine front. There are a few trees on the site, so there are both shady and sunny pitches. The use of the existing WLAN connection and the modern sanitary facilities including a washroom ensure a more comfortable stay. Dogs are also welcome at Campingpark Sonneneck. The associated Pizzeria Ristorante Sonneneck and a small kiosk provide for the culinary well-being. Younger guests particularly enjoy the extensive range of leisure activities such as a swimming pool, mini golf, playground and table tennis. The idyllic location with a view of the picturesque Rhine landscape and the vineyards behind it ensure a relaxing ambience. The surroundings of the campsite offer many natural and cultural excursions. Excursions to the imposing palaces and castles in the area, such as Stolzenfels Castle or Lahneck Castle, are particularly recommended.
