ガッペナッハの山小屋＆キャビン・トップ20

モーゼル谷からメンヒ・フェリックス・ヒュッテまで続く、美しく狭いハイキングコースです。

Small shelter of the winegrowers

Small stone hut in the mountain... it offers sufficient protection in adverse conditions

Safe in storms and thunderstorms!

Nice narrow path that zig zags.

The vintner used the little house as protection against rain and storms, as a storage and equipment room and as a break room. Wingert means vineyard.

"Located high above Niederfell, the Mönch-Felix-Hütte offers a phenomenal view of the Moselle valley and the Niederburg and the Oberburg with the late Romanesque Matthias chapel on the other bank of the Moselle above Kobern-Gondorf. Enjoy the wonderful view of the Moselle valley with the villages of Kobern-Gondorf, Lehmen and Niederfell at the foot of the Mönch-Felix hut. << Monk Felix >> Felix, a monk from the East, came to this area in AD 70 after a 40-year pilgrimage. The Mönch-Felix-Hütte now stands where he had settled down exhausted. Only the legend derives (Nieder)-Fell from Felix, who came here as a wandering monk from the Orient 1900 years ago, lived in a hut above the village and grew the first wine on the slope still called "Münichsberg". In fact, here in the "Pfaffenland", as the lowest part of the Lower Moselle was called, clergymen had extensive possessions." https://www.niederfell.de/tourismus/moench-felix-huette/

The benches inside the hut offer protection from the sun (or other weather conditions). Those who prefer a sunny spot will find other benches there as well.
