Beautiful region for cycling

Delicious snacks, good coffee, nice views and something for everyone to eat.

Not far from the Parsberg hiking car park there is a flagpole and a bench with a beautiful view of the Rhine Valley.

Katz Castle and Maus Castle are closely connected. At Katz Castle, the smaller castle was called Maus.

The castle appears to be in good shape.

Sankt Goar (abbreviated: St. Goar) is a town in the Rhein-Hunsrück district in Rhineland-Palatinate on the left bank of the Middle Rhine. It belongs to the Verbandsgemeinde of Hunsrück-Mittelrhein. Sankt Goar is known for its central location in the UNESCO World Heritage Upper Middle Rhine Valley, which was included in the list of World Heritage Sites in July 2002. Above the town are the ruins of Rheinfels Castle, opposite is the sister town of Sankt Goarshausen with the Katz and Maus castles. You can reach the vantage point either via a steep climb from St. Goarshausen or via an easy footpath from Patersberg. There you can park your car at the bus stop turning point and enjoy the view after a few hundred meters without much effort.
