The route is part of the AB1 and runs along the western side of the stream from Wald-Michelbach to Schönmattenwag. A little wet in places, but very nice to ride

The infamous Wolfsschlucht begins to the right of the castle 🏰. I wouldn't go through it on a bike, it's better on foot.

The Spatschlucht was formed around 1800, when the above-ground mining of heavy spar, also known as barite, began. The white spar powder was used as an additive in the manufacture of paint and paper. All in all, barite was successfully mined in the area for almost 140 years until 1939.
