A beautiful lake in a basalt quarry. There is a basalt park directly on the lake with many information boards about the various volcanic rocks (which are also on display), basalt mining and the flora and fauna around the lake. Entry to the park is free and so is parking nearby.

A quite imposing basalt wall that was uncovered by the quarrying of the basalt. You can see the individual basalt columns very nicely. A lake has formed in the quarry, which is a beautiful photo motif at any time of the year. Entry is free.
