Beautiful and currently very exciting to see how the water masses from the heavy rain in the summer have transformed the valley. The bottom line is that it remains a mystery to me why the two valleys are so neglected. Officially there are still (or lying...) closure signs around. Today the village of Laubach organized a medium-sized hiking event ("Hiking with others"), the routes offered were all on the gravel roads (which are currently in great condition due to the expansion of the power line) and neither through the Grundbachtal nor through the Glasebachtal. Why is that? Why don't we take care of these natural treasures and instead let people "hike" on paths where heavy-duty trucks drive on weekdays?

Beautiful, wild and romantic hike. However, the path is not maintained. We had to cross at least 8 fallen trees and after a week of rain the trail was very muddy. Still worth it!

Small hike-a-bike adventure in an impressive setting.

A real little gorge. Doesn't need to hide from the well-known Lochbachklamm. I was there in March after heavy rains. The creek carried more water than I would have liked. You have to cross the stream several times, wet feet guaranteed. ⚠️ You shouldn't be there alone when the weather is bad, especially since a lot of things are in the dead zone ⚠️

Rest area on the way from the Helfensteinen up to the Dörnberg. You experience the change in nature, away from the plateau, now through basalt formations and the further ascent to the Hoher Dörnberg.
