The cliffs of the Caaner Schweiz (Caan Switzerland) in the Saynbach Valley in the Westerwald region are 140 to 249.7 meters high. Mud and sand deposits from the Devonian sea, approximately 400 million years ago, formed the origin of the rocks, which were compacted by pressure, folded into a mountain range, and eroded. The rock consists of clay shale, sandstone, and quartzite sandstone.

A small highlight in Rhineland-Palatinate. The almost continuous cycle path is really great.

Beautiful, quiet valley. Here you can unwind and unwind. The Burschenhütte invites you to take a short break on the hike through the Fockenbachtal.

The Fockenbach Valley is always worth a tour, whether as a hiker, cyclist or mountain biker.

Not only the Wiedtal itself is worth a tour. From there you can turn off at several points up to the Westerwaldhöhen and from there you can ski down charming routes with a great view back into the Wiedtal. It's a bit more strenuous, but it's easy to do, especially for e-bikers, and it's almost a must.
