Harsefeld Here you'll find the Amtshof (now housing, among other things, a library), the monastery church of St. Mary and St. Bartholomew, the museum, and the idyllic monastery park, whose history dates back to the 9th century. Harsefeld's tour guides will gladly take you on a relaxing yet interesting stroll through this "Garden of Europe." The monastery park was completely redesigned in 2006 and, together with the Amtshof, museum, and church, now offers a beautiful setting for concerts, markets, and other events, as well as simply for walking and relaxing. The park in the town center offers beautiful natural surroundings and inviting park benches for relaxation. The paths are accessible and easy to walk. Accessible from Stade or Zeven, the parking lot is located at the monastery park and museum, as well as opposite the shopping center. The Neukloster Forest is a beech forest with trees up to approximately 200 years old. Originally used by the monastery for which it is named, it is home to several, sometimes rare, animal and plant species. A short hike of about 4.5 km through the Neukloster Forest is wonderful. From the Pfingstmarktplatz parking lot, the W4 hiking trail leads into the forest, passing historical and archaeological treasures such as burial mounds and wayside crosses. Follow the signs to the Friedwald parking lot and turn left there to return to the Pfingstmarktplatz parking lot.

We had a very nice hike, albeit with at least four obstacles. The forestry office really needs to come and clear the surrounding trees from the trails. It was just barely manageable. Otherwise, it's absolutely beautiful here. We saw lots of mushrooms, even a red fly agaric. There's a lovely little stream that meanders through the entire forest.

This lake is a very beautiful natural idyll, inhabited by several aquatic animals. The hiking trail is approximately 12-14 km long. Beautiful nature all around, perfect for relaxing and unwinding.
