A side entrance from the palace courtyard leads to the former Baroque cloister garden. This area is bordered by a chestnut avenue and a natural stone wall with sandstone putti. Today, the center houses a riding arena, magnificent rose beds, a pond, and the orangery. From the small pavilion, there is a beautiful view of the western park, located in the valley below. The slopes along the palace wall are planted with various fruit trees. The path into the lower park repeatedly offers interesting glimpses of large lawns, ponds, and lush perennial beds. The play of colors is particularly charming in spring, when the azaleas and rhododendrons bloom, or in autumn, when the foliage of the various Japanese maples glows fiery red.

A beautiful route with lots of forest, then uphill on a ski slope to enjoy a breathtaking view from the roof of NRW. The way back is almost straight and downhill for a good 5 km. A great finish.

A very nice place to walk and relax

A beautiful lake with a barbecue hut that invites you to take a break on the premium hiking trail “Oberlinspher Weg”. The lake is fed by Linspher Bach. On the way back, you can enjoy the lake from the other side.
