Not only the Wiedtal itself is worth a tour. From there you can turn off at several points up to the Westerwaldhöhen and from there you can ski down charming routes with a great view back into the Wiedtal. It's a bit more strenuous, but it's easy to do, especially for e-bikers, and it's almost a must.

The name of the Pfaffenbach is derived from the Heisterbach monks (priests), who had some estates in Neustadt an der Wied from the middle of the 13th to the end of the 18th century as well as pastoral work in the parish there.
