The castle pond in Bad Mergentheim is part of the castle park, a sprawling, English-style park. It is an artificial lake fed by streams and features an island with the "Schneckenbuckel" (snail hump).

Paths in the castle park are mostly gravel, not asphalted.

Walk through the castle and the park, then use one of the many bridges over the Tauber and you will find yourself in the spa park.
