The Treibsee lake is quietly hidden in the middle of the Welzheim Forest. It resembles a small, enchanted lake, almost mystical depending on the weather. Swathes of fog, mirror-smooth water, and the tranquility of the forest make this place the perfect spot for a short break. If you want to pause for a moment on your hike and enjoy nature to the fullest, this is the perfect location.

In the heart of the Welzheim Forest, you'll find the Trögleshütte, where you can take a relaxing break. This simple yet charming refuge offers shelter from sudden rain and is the perfect place to enjoy the tranquility of the forest. Here, you can relax and recharge your batteries before continuing on.

The hut isn't far, but it's located in the blazing sun. A bench in the shade with a view of the lake is just what you need.

There was a fire pit and some wood in the hut itself. Perhaps just by chance... Still, thank you very much for the invitation and for getting it 😉 Trash cans are also available.

We've compiled a video of the approximately 6.3km loop. Highlights include the Trögleshütte barbecue area, the Treibsee lake, and, of course, the "Große Platte" (Great Platte).
