Great area at the Haslach… right at the front is the Rechenfelsenpassage

The Haslach breaks through the hard porphyry rock in a spectacular way and reveals the elemental forces of the water. Even in the early days of tourism after 1900, the Rechenfelsen was an attraction that was often depicted on postcards. You need a bit of fitness and sure-footedness to see the steep rock faces overhanging on both sides, through which the Haslach forces its way, from the vantage point of the Rechenfelsen.

The absolute highlight of the viaduct and gorge tour is the breakthrough of the Haslach at Rechenfelsen; wild and romantic pure nature. However, you have to earn this highlight; The Haslach Gorge can only be reached via narrow mountain paths between the Höllochfelsen and the confluence with the Gutach, which then flows into the Rhine as the Wutach after 91 km. (Surefootedness, a head for heights and sturdy hiking shoes are required; hiking poles are helpful). So, put on your hiking boots and get out into nature.
