The last official sale of Gut Salzau was in 2017. The buyer was Terranius GmbH, owned by Timmendorfer entrepreneur Carsten Heilmann. Purchase price 1.3 million, estimated value 2.7 million, maintenance costs 220,000 €/year. There are no exact plans yet as to how the entrepreneur wants to use the 4066 sqm living and usable space and the 122,000 sqm property. Once established by the state authorities as a state cultural center, known from the SHMF, the concert barn that burned down in 2012 was also the location of JazzBaltica until 2011 and it was the seat of the international orchestra academy founded by Leonard Bernstein in 1987. Since the state of SH is the owner and it should be sold below book value, parliament must agree.

The signs about the entrance are very confusing, on the one hand there are prohibition signs, but in a display case there are information boards about how cyclists, joggers and walkers should behave. In the courtyard there is also a bicycle sign hidden under ivy if you come from the direction of Fargau and continue towards Stoltenberg. We dared to ride through!

The bike signposts on Gut Salzau have been removed, what a pity. The prohibition signs dominate. Other cyclists were also irritated because komoot has designated the passage as an official cycle path. Let's see how things are developing at Gut Salzau.
