Technically, Lake Nassau is a flood control basin with a permanent water level. The dam is passable, and if the ground isn't too wet, the lake can be circumnavigated with a gravel bike.

I think the quarry is very worth seeing. A small lake sits picturesquely in the middle and is a real feast for the eyes. I wouldn't swim here, though...that's not what the small lake is intended for. 🤣 The quarry has become a habitat for many animals, such as toads, frogs, dragonflies, slowworms, lizards, butterflies, and much more.

The path up to the Zeubelrieder Weiher is wonderful to cycle. The gradient is quite moderate and you can manage it even without an e-bike. The path is very idyllic. Cattle graze on one side of the path. In spring you can admire flowering meadows on the other side and marvel at the many butterflies. The pond invites you to take a break.

Oxen are almost always grazing along the side of the road.

I found the frozen lake fascinating. Here you can clearly see where water flows in from the higher elevations on the sides.

Fine gravel path to the Zeubelrieder Weiher

Beautiful quiet lake circumnavigation possible. A small hut also invites you to relax and rest. The Stalldorfer Bach is a scenically very beautiful tributary. Also worth a hike in winter.
