Beautiful shelter that offers us welcome shelter during an unexpected rain shower.

Quite useful for a snack and weather-related breaks.

The cross has apparently been replaced by a stone one in the meantime. The shelter of the same name is located on the opposite side.

This former watermill was built in the 17th century and competed with the older Lukasmühle further down the valley. Destroyed by flames in 1982 - rebuilt and badly damaged in the 2021 flood. Open again on weekends since summer 2023. The gable on the main house is dated 1663. Beautifully restored quarry stone half-timbered building.

Well-kept refuge (closed on 3 sides) with space for 6-8 people. On the corner, creative art with a chainsaw - a gem from an unknown forest worker. Regular emptying of the garbage can.

Away from everyday life, almost enchanted and well hidden in the Kall Valley, lies the tourist inn, one of Germany's oldest watermills, the historic Mestrenger Mill. Built in 1663, the mill has always been a popular destination. During World War II, the mill served as a hospital for wounded soldiers. In 2011, the building was extensively restored, but in keeping with historical models. Since then, the mill has become an even more ideal place to take a break, recharge, and rest.

The hut is certainly not the best choice for a cozy picnic, but it is well suited to protect yourself from the wet in a rain shower.
