the memorial plaque is still there but the information about the area has disappeared and the display is empty so it's not really worth going here

This beautiful rest area should definitely be preserved. The benches and tables are getting old and are rotting away. The city should remedy this. I know that the hut was used for barbecuing, I was there once. I have been there several times. It was always locked. I don't know whether it is open to the public or belongs to a club. Perhaps an information board should be put up at the hut. Regarding the original source of the Jüchener Bach, I can say that it is about 50 meters away and was closed off during the excavation work, so the outlet from the pipe is called the source.
