Nice little fishing lake 🐟🐠

The leisure facility combines everything you need for a nice trip to the lake: there is a bathing bay, a beach bar, numerous playgrounds and sports facilities such as a beach volleyball court. Nethestausee The Nethestausee, which belongs to the town of Neuenheerse, is a 4.5 hectare recreational lake in the heart of the Teutoburg Forest / Egge Mountains Nature Park. The swimming lake has been used as a leisure park since 1975. On the lakeshore there are playgrounds, a small covered barbecue hut and extensive lawns for sunbathing, which are regularly maintained in summer. The lake is surrounded by picturesque forests that invite you to take walks and hikes around the lake. The Nethestausee or “Neuenheerser See” was created by damming the Nethe river, which rises in Bad Driburg – Neuenheerse. https://www.naturpark-teutoburgerwald.de/attraction/nethestausee/ This hut is located directly on the netheradweg, easy to reach.

Definitely worth a trip. Pack your swimming gear and picnic basket and go. Don't forget sun protection, as the few trees are quickly occupied. Be careful, lots of wasps at the end of summer!
