Caution! The trail is described by Kommot as easy. In reality, it is treacherous in many sections and not always well marked. It is moderate to difficult!

It is beautiful and there are always great views. The deeply cut stream valleys are impressive.

The wildly romantic Furlbachtal is really a highlight. You walk or drive past deep gorges that the water has dug there over the centuries.

Very nice, this valley, there are about 10 water extraction plants here in the urban area.

The Rethlager springs are one of the sights that can be reached on the Hermannsweg in the Teutoburg Forest. There are a number of other marked and easily accessible hiking trails around the springs. There is a campsite just a few hundred meters from the Rethlager springs.
