Once a quarry, today a romantic spot with an idyllic pond and exceptional views into the Hausruckviertel region of Upper Austria.

A leisure nature park was built right next to the monastery, which has a lot to offer, especially for children but also for adults. The tour is designed as a circular tour and you visit three stations of the Engelhartszell Danube World: the "Engelszell Sensory Garden", the "Mini Danube Water Experience" and the "The Aliens Are Coming" exhibition with the large aquarium "Giant of the Danube". In the first station of the Engelhartszell Danube World, the "Mini Danube Water Experience", the Danube can be experienced in a playful way from its source to its mouth in six stations in mini format. There is a reservoir, a Kneipp foot basin, a simple run-of-river power station, a river construction station, a balancing course at the Iron Gate and a cable ferry at the Black Sea. A beautiful place on the stone hill in St. Agatha with a small observation tower and a pond with a stage. A former quarry was transformed into a wonderful leisure facility more than 50 years ago.

From below there is a steep hiking trail, then very steep stairs at the top. So absolutely unsuitable for a heavy eBike. There is an alternative descent into the valley at Altenhof/Hochhaus.

Very impressive building. Crossing, narrow when cars come towards you, but easily passable by bike.

From the quarry pond, a wonderful hiking trail leads up to the Kleiner Schefberg, from where you can have a fantastic view of the quarry and the pond...
