An amazing tour for many to the limits of what is feasible. I can still recommend it to everyone, because it will remain unforgettable. So much beauty of this highlight, landscape and physical challenge remain unforgettable for everyone.

... with Möllfall and via ferrata

Simply a wonderfully beautiful circular route. Our recommended direction: Ascent through the valley to the payment table and back via the panorama path. Optionally on the Eckkopf (we broke off because of too much snow) and / or to the Kegelesee.

The road was not too busy during our visit, but there is a nice asphalt bike path parallel to it, on which it rolls more relaxed!

The trail from Döllach along the Zirknitzgrotte in the direction of the Zirknitz road is not listed on some hiking maps and Google Maps, but it is very well accessible. The trail can be well connected with a circular walk over the nine fountain waterfall and Mitteldorf back to the starting point.

Highly recommended, good to drive and great surroundings.

With a total length of 16 kilometers, the Debanttal is the longest self-contained alpine valley in Austria. It is also part of the Hohe Tauern National Park. The end of the valley is formed by the Schober group with the 3,242 meter high Hochschober, which gives it its name. Due to the favorable climate and geological conditions, the valley is home to a wide range of wild animals and mountain plants. Cows spend the summer on the well-groomed alpine pastures and further up on the mountain slopes the larch and stone pine forest spreads. Here you can experience pure nature! At the end of the Debanttal valley, the beautifully situated Lienzer Hütte welcomes you with regional delicacies.
