The Veľký Draždiak is a gravel pit. It was created around 1982 after gravel mining and the deepening of the original water surface, which the native inhabitants of Petržalka once called "Šutrovka." Swimming is free here.

Veľký Draždiak is a lake and natural swimming pool. It was created around 1982 after gravel mining and deepening of the original water surface, which the natives of Petržalka used to call "Šutrovka". The Croatian arm runs past the lake. (Excerpts from Wikipedia) Here on the lake beach there are a few restaurants and on the Croatian arm, with some beautiful shore areas, there is a path to cross Petržalka. There is a floating bridge nearby to get to the other bank of the Croatian arm. There is an unpaved path there.

Summer is coming and the pandemic will be over one day. And then you can round off a tour with a little bathing pleasure. Or define swimming as a tour destination?

Inconspicuous, a little hidden, but still worth a visit. Of course only during the warm season (and after the pandemic)

Such a nice bathing opportunity during a bike tour is always a great thing. But I would only recommend nudist bathing if nobody is around. Abroad you are rather prudish in this regard!

The reservoir, which was once created for the operation of the Gabcikovo hydropower plant, is now a paradise for water birds.

Very nicely located. Wonderfully quiet. Fishing is strictly forbidden here. Should only be to relax.
