I doubt that this is a fire pond, in the middle of the forest, far from any settlement. But the beavers are allowed to do what they naturally like to do here. Here, trees are only put aside when the beaver has felled them. Elsewhere, trees gnawed by the beaver are immediately removed completely, so what does the beaver do then?? That's right, he goes for the next tree, because he wants something to eat. So we don't have a plague of beavers, but a plague of people.

Storage pond is fed with crystal clear spring water from the region. The place invites you to take a relaxing breather. Some loungers have been placed around the pond. A playground 🛝 for the little ones is available. There is a vending machine 🥤 and a toilet 🚻. It is possible to borrow Stand UP Paddles. Even if you see a lot of people in bathing suits, bathing is officially forbidden 🚫

Nice pond - SUPs can be rented in summer. Single trail starts further up at the Almrauschhütte and leads directly past the lake. Flowtrail starts directly under the lake.
