Until the lake was completely fenced in, this place was a beautiful place, especially in the evenings, with a lovely holiday vibe. Now it's more like an enclosure.

Small pond, in the middle a small island that is accessible via 2 bridges. But only opened for small festivities

The Forchtenstein bathing reservoir is fed by the Haidbach. It is located in the middle of "Paradise", as the side valley of the Rosalien Mountains is called. It is 15,000 m2 in size and scores points for its natural shade. Oases of peace and water fun are the best ways to describe the area. It is particularly popular with families as it has very shallow access. A diving tower and a water slide, beach volleyball court and playground for the little ones provide variety. On the sun terrace with a wonderful view of the lake, the canteen spoils you with one or two delicacies. Whether you are a bather, hiker, cyclist or walker - a visit is always worthwhile.

Nice pond with an island in the middle. I didn't notice any signs prohibiting cycling.

The Villateich with the island in Lichtenwörth was recently renovated. The new widened sidewalks invite you to take a walk and several park benches offer a good place to sit and relax. Until the middle of the 15th century there was a moated castle on this island, called the Veste Lichtenwerd. Unfortunately, the "villa" that once bordered this beautiful pond, from which it got its name, no longer exists either. The once magnificent building was demolished more than 65 years ago. There are still some old trees from every great era, such as the giant plane tree that stood in the immediate vicinity of the villa. They are silent witnesses who have certainly seen a lot over time and yet have to fear for their existence. A completely healthy, approximately 250-year-old tree to the left of the main entrance to the island was not allowed to stay - a pity about that.

01/01/2023 - The Knollteich at Maria-Theresienplatz has become more and more muddy over the last few decades. The restoration began in 2005 - the result is impressive. The Knollteich was completely repaired by HSV Fishing and Casting in 2005. The ongoing flow of water from the Kehrbach (Schwarza) allows the stocking of trout.
