Very beautiful lake ☱

Recommended outside of the bathing season, no entrance fee, very beautiful and very quiet.

Unfortunately, the recreation center and the bathing lake are only accessible to a very limited extent, and the cycle route is also subject to car traffic. Even the flower boxes that are supposed to prevent cars from driving onto the cycle path are so awkwardly placed that cyclists with luggage have trouble getting through.

Well, nothing to drive to twice... once is enough. Everything is built up and you can only swim if you pay an entrance fee. A lake has been converted into a closed swimming pool with residents' access.

Access only for a fee, which is OK if you want to swim here, but completely unsuitable as a snack station for bike tourers

The Forchtenstein bathing reservoir is fed by the Haidbach. It is located in the middle of "Paradise", as the side valley of the Rosalien Mountains is called. It is 15,000 m2 in size and scores points for its natural shade. Oases of peace and water fun are the best ways to describe the area. It is particularly popular with families as it has very shallow access. A diving tower and a water slide, beach volleyball court and playground for the little ones provide variety. On the sun terrace with a wonderful view of the lake, the canteen spoils you with one or two delicacies. Whether you are a bather, hiker, cyclist or walker - a visit is always worthwhile.
