Thürnthal Castle is a Baroque-Classical building in the Lower Austrian municipality of Fels am Wagram. Its architecture is a blend of High Baroque forms and classical-antique stylistic elements, reminiscent of the Classicism that became widespread around fifty years later.

The castle complex, which dates back to the 13th century, was destroyed by the Turks in 1525. The current castle building (moated castle) was built in its basic design around 1589. Aumühle Castle is a wonderful, historic building. Like the town of Atzenbrugg itself, the history of the castle is closely linked to Franz Schubert and the Schubert Circle. Today the castle is owned by the Mauthner family. The rooms can be rented and there is also a gallery. You can find more information at https://www.schloss-aumuehle.at.
