The Taffatal path is very difficult and in places dangerous, but the area is very beautiful. I was shocked that this route is considered easy.

Here you hike along meadow and forest paths along the Taffa, which winds its way through the valley, and are surprised by gigantic rock formations. Fallen trees, weirs, ruins, beavers, bridges over islands, there is a lot to discover, very idyllic! Good footwear is necessary, sometimes slippery on stones and leaves when wet, fallen trees have to be avoided or climbed over, not suitable for strollers, no place to stop for refreshments along the way.

A pleasure for well-being in every season. Sometimes, especially after rain, there are passages that should be approached with caution.

The base for the sunken lanes and vineyard terraces is loess, the glacial dust that has accumulated particularly thickly here. In addition to all the benefits for viticulture, it also provides a valuable habitat for special animals and plants. Walking through this cellar lane is quite an experience. An information panel from the Kamptal Cultural Park (see photo) stands in the middle of the lane and provides a detailed description of everything worth knowing.

Beautiful single trail along the Taffa. However, it is very narrow and not without danger in some places (directly on the slope). So pushing a few meters here and there should be worth considering. Nonetheless, it definitely pays off. PS: There are currently a lot of nettles. Due to the narrow path you can hardly avoid it. Long trousers an advantage.

Over various bridges and past mighty rock faces, it goes along a sometimes very narrow single trail through the romantic Taffatal. A very nice section of the route!

High loess walls accompany you on your walk through the Kühsteingraben. The vaults built into the sediment are particularly impressive.

Lonely, beautiful. Incredibly deep hollow paths, brimming with green - there is a smell of wine everywhere when the barrels are cleaned and prepared. The area is an absolute dream.
