Wanted to drive from the Breitofnerhütte directly to the Weissbergerhütte, because of Jäger I drove into the valley and the Saualmstrasse, thereby gaining an additional 800 HM

The stop is worth it! Prices are okay. Very crowded in the afternoon in winter, it's best to stop by early in the morning. 👊👍

The Steinerhütte is the starting point for winter hikes on the Großer and Kleiner Sauofen. With the cozy hut you already have a great destination in mind, which you can head for at the end of the hike.
