The Hochfilzer Hut is run by the Mannersdorf Nature Friends, is open on Sundays in the summer, and offers seating for approximately 50 people. There are a few very nice trails of varying difficulty (from grade 1 to grade 4 (to Korbaj)) leading to the hut, and the area is also very mountain bike-friendly. The construction of additional mountain bike trails is planned for 2025.

The hut is located directly on the ski slope in Mannersdorf.

Only open on Sundays and public holidays in summer.

This time the hut was open and we were able to stop for a snack. We were thrilled with the homemade pastries and enjoyed them ☕️🍰

Unfortunately it was closed when I visited. Will definitely come again.

The hut is open every day in winter. The hut is open to hikers every Sunday from 10 a.m.

Huts like these used to be used as accommodation for the field guards who were present day and night in the vineyards. They were mostly made of stone, built into the slope, covered with earth and in a place from which the area to be guarded could be viewed well. The furniture was very simple: a brick fireplace with an open smoke outlet, a simple wooden cot, a table, a chair, a wall niche for storing food, a hook for clothes and a tub for washing.
