A varied route, initially paved through the Trettach Valley along the Trettach River. Later, green alpine meadows with stunning views of the mountain range. The higher you climb, the steeper it becomes, through forests or along steep slopes. There are some waterfalls along the way. At the top, you'll find delicious apple strudel ❣️

The start of the via ferrata can be reached from Holzgau in about half an hour. It is divided into three routes of varying difficulty levels, which can be easily combined with one another: the chamois (B/C), the ibex (C+) and the eagle route (D/E). A highlight is certainly the crossing of the roaring Simms waterfall using a total of three rope bridges. A via ferrata experience that is absolutely recommended!👌

A very beautiful, varied, but also strenuous hiking trail. Even in August there was still a thick layer of ice on the edge of the trail. The many small streams of the stream provide a pleasant cooling effect on hot days. There are also wire ropes to hold on to. We started in Spielmannsau and stayed one night at the Kemptener Hütte. We continued on to the Heilbronner Höhenweg.

What this highlight means is the Simms Waterfall. It can be reached through the right side of the valley via a good gravel path towards Rossgumpenalm/Café Uta, so you can observe the waterfall from close up. It was created artificially in the 19th century by the Englishman Frederic Simms through blasting. The waterfall is about 30 m high and is fed by the Höhenbach. There are many hikers on the route, most of whom want to go to the Holzgau suspension bridge.
