Trempel水力発電所は、Thur川の自然な落差を利用して環境に優しい電力生産を行っています。この施設は元々1920年代に建設され、2007年に全面的に近代化されました。現在、出力1.8MWの流込式水力発電所は、年間約800万kWhの電力を生産しており、これは約2,000世帯分に相当します。発電所のすぐそばには、小さな峡谷を伴うThur川の印象的な区間が通り、再生可能エネルギーの利用について魅力的な洞察を与えてくれます。

The path from Alm Ellbogen to here is somewhat exposed in two passages. But a spectacular experience for people with a head for heights.

The path is particularly worthwhile in spring and autumn, when the many deciduous trees have no leaves and do not obscure the view of the canyon.

Unfortunately, the municipality of Wildhaus recently created a water intake in the ravine and widened the mountain path in the process. As a result, the path has lost some of its charm.
