The trail is still closed in all directions 07/2025 and is expected to remain so forever

The trail is still closed (7/25), but you can easily bypass this section via a forest road/sports field/hiking trail and meet the original route again at the Pitzbach Bridge

As of June 2025, the trail is still completely closed. You can also take a nice walk along the sports field. However, all access points to the trail are blocked.

The trail is currently still closed, as of October 2024. The paths have collapsed on the slopes.

The Benni Raich suspension bridge, an impressive construction with an equally impressive view of the mountains in the distance as well as down into the gorge through which you recently hiked. The floor is opaque and easy to walk on, as is the railing halfway up, so you don't see too much for those who are afraid of heights. Everyone else can dare to step up to the railing and look down the 94m. At the ends there are information signs for anyone who visits the bridge for a supposedly not positive reason. Sad but important in my opinion! Tel: 142

Beautiful and exciting. The paths are very well signposted and developed with bridges and stairs in places where it gets difficult. Highly Recommended

Depending on where you start your tour, you can "curl up" a bit at the beginning, so I started from Nassereith in the direction of Fernstein-See and drove back in front of the campsite on a nice trail in the direction of Tegestal. From the triangular path to the Alm, it gets very steep for the next three kilometers and there are multiple ramps of around 20% to be overcome. If you're in a really good mood, you can ride it safely - I made a little "Bike & Hike" out of it because I didn't know what was to come. After that it is easy to drive with a pleasant incline towards the Alm. Shortly before the destination, the previously narrow, rocky valley becomes a wide, lush green valley floor in which the Alm is picturesquely embedded. The way back can of course be the same way, whereby the steep, partly coarse gravel ramps downhill should not be underestimated, especially for inexperienced drivers (!!!) But I opted for the trail towards Tarrenz. From the well-signposted turn-off, it goes uphill again, sometimes over large stone steps, roots and scree. I would sign the "S2" classification. 😎 But with a breather every now and then, I was able to manage everything while driving, with very few exceptions. After circumnavigating the "Alpeskopf" it goes downhill again. On its south side you drive a long valley section with great views. However, the path was partially broken and felt narrower than the handlebars. (But you don't have to look down - then it works 😄.) The further you drive down the valley, the better the paths become. The chapel "Sinnesbrunn" invites you to linger. After Sinnesbrunn, it is best to continue on the forest road in the direction of Tarrenz. The trail I chose and recorded here was not (well) rideable. I can highly recommend the "Sinnes Waldrast" (you will inevitably pass this inn in the middle of the forest) to end the tour properly and to put the rest back to the starting point.
