Awesome - such a deep crevice is scary

Definitely not recommended! The path is very poorly paved in places. Not recommended unless you're absolutely sure-footed. Definitely not with children.

Today we hiked to the Schweinfurter Hut. Along the way, we passed beautiful flower meadows with plenty of grazing cattle. An absolute must for nature lovers seeking peace and quiet. It took us 1 hour 40 minutes from the Niedertai parking lot to the Schweinfurter Hut. Everything was great, the hostess was very friendly, and the food was delicious... we'll be back.

The Ötztaler Ache accompanies you on many hiking and cycling tours through the Ötztal and its wild water provides impressive natural moments. Along the river you will find great routes for gravel bikers, mountain bikers and hikers, often with spectacular gorges and suspension bridges. The section near Umhausen is particularly beautiful, where you can experience the power of the water up close. Perfect for a tour with a nature and adventure factor!

Unfortunately, I chose the unspectacular vantage point on Ötz, the Kanzel. Due to the characteristics of the path, the Kluft variant would certainly have been more exciting 🤷‍♂️
