The name is once again misleading: Of course, the local hiker knows that there are by no means several lakes visible from this spot. Rather, it is the "good old Father Rhine," which can be seen several times, seen here from above.

The Lohrberg, the third largest mountain in the Siebengebirge, offers a wonderful view of the Rhine from the Dreiseenblick, which, visible in three places (hence the name Dreiseenblick), winds through the valley below. There is a refuge at the lookout point, where you can take a break. An information board provides information about what can be seen in the distance from here. The gaze wanders from the islands of Nonnenwerth and Grafenwerth in the Rhine over the mountainous Eifel northwards over the Drachenfels towards Bonn-Bad Godesberg.

The hunter's house in the Kottenforst near Bonn is an accommodation built between 1730 and 1740 and was a station for the parforce hunts of the Cologne elector Clemens August. It is a listed building.

It looks like the witch's house from Hansel and Gretel: But nobody needs to be afraid of the milk house in the Siebengebirge nature reserve. On the contrary: stopping there after a walk is a pleasure. The café can only be reached on foot, the car can be parked in a parking lot in Königswinter, from there it goes up towards Drachenfels. When you arrive at the milk house, fresh waffles or pancakes await the hikers. But there are also hearty things like a Vesper plate or homemade meatballs.

The hunter's house is 150 meters away from the most impressive tree in the whole of Kottenforst. It served as a relay station during the par force hunt and you could change horses here, for which a horse stable was located in addition to the lounge. Today the small building is a listed building. The regional forest authority Rhein-Sieg-Erft restored it and has been using it ever since.
