The Volmehanghöhle in Hagen, discovered around 1890, is around 1,700 meters long. Originally there were plans to open it up to visitor traffic, but this could not be implemented. It is located in the “Hardt” nature reserve and is typical of the limestone-rich area around Hagen and Iserlohn.
