Blaibach Castle "Dietreich der Götlinger von Playpach" is mentioned for the first time in 1370, i. H. From this point on, Blaibach is considered to be a secure aristocratic seat. Blaibach Castle is located in the Upper Palatinate municipality of Blaibach in the Cham district of Bavaria.

The childless couple Willmann gave away the entire property with the villa and property to the bishopric of Regensburg. From 1967 the house was uninhabited, and the once proud mansion fell into disrepair. Nobody wanted to renovate it because it was to be demolished in 1985. In 1987, the Polk family finally took over the Art Nouveau castle on a long-term lease and renovated the house with a large investment of their own capital and public subsidies. A lot was done in laborious manual labor and this is how a unique collection of fairy tale depictions was created. Although closed at the moment, it is also nice to look at from the outside.
