A wonderful spot. I understand that this was once an alpine pasture. Today it's a lovely shelter for a great picnic and has lovely hammocks for relaxing. It's beautiful here.

The Adelegg mountain range was not settled on a large scale until after 1700. Emmental cheese was produced on the Schletteralpe until 1896. After that, the dairy was converted into a restaurant. For five decades, the Schleier attracted numerous hikers and skiers to the Adelegg. In 1962, no new tenant was found and the once proud alpine pasture fell into ruin. A fire finally did the rest. Today, there is a weather shelter on the site.

The hut is open from November 1st to Good Friday. During this time it is open every Saturday from 2 p.m. to midnight and every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Here, rustic charm meets top regional quality. Every dish is freshly prepared in a traditional way, which takes a little time - but it's worth it. The ingredients come from the area and attention is paid to freshness and quality. Special highlights are the regular music evenings.
