Super smooth paths in a unique landscape. I am thrilled every time. On one side the dike, on the other side the Hayenschlooter Sieltief and behind it the Pütten. These bodies of water were created by land extraction for dike construction.

A pool of North Sea water, which is first filtered through 3 chambers. Water is always there, no low tide. Sandy beach made of river sand is great for building castles. There are beach chairs and loungers for rent (e.g. we had 2 loungers, one costs €5/day). Admission for one day costs €12 as a family ticket. If you want to go out in between, you get a wristband. Very convenient for us, as we were right next door on the campsite. I was able to do a bike ride in between and refresh myself afterwards. There is also a kiosk/snack bar, SUPs, pedal boats and canoes for hire, a nice mud playground in the non-swimmer area, a pontoon made of floats (you can jump in) and a floating trampoline... and changing rooms, toilets, lifeguards from the DLRG and others rescue tower also has a swimming wheelchair. In short: Everything is there to spend a hot summer day well. In my opinion, the prices are very, very reasonable/cheap.
