南ハイデのティーフェンタールは、このルートの特に魅力的な区間です。氷河期に形成されたこの乾燥谷は、なだらかな丘と広大なハイデ（荒野）が広がり、時間帯や季節によって常に異なる風景を見せてくれます。何世紀にもわたり、ハイデ農民とハイデシュッケン（ヒツジの品種）による放牧によってこの地域は開かれており、今日まで典型的な景観を形成しています。

The Heidepanoramaweg provides brief information about the heather in many places. We like that.

Here in the “Tiefental” there is a memorial stone that was placed in 1999 on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Hermannsburg Mission. The stone is intended to remind that the mission festival was celebrated here in earlier times. There is a painting, dated 1855, which depicts the founder of the mission, Ludwig Harms, preaching here in the open air.

Beautiful hilly heathland, fantastic in the heyday! Also many bridle paths.
