A wooden fence blocks the path to the fall protection approximately 2 meters from the edge. Crossing to the other side or looking down would only be possible by "bypassing" the fence. Still an impressive stretch of coast, but this highlight doesn't (or no longer?) live up to the pictures.

The Christmas Cave is a lava tunnel, and along the (rather short) circular trail, information panels explain its geological origins. Due to the high humidity, water constantly drips from the ceiling, and you have to bend down for a few short sections. Please note that even in summer, it's only open from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., and the entrance fee is currently €9 (2025).

I don't really believe the 150 cm. The tunnel is very low in the middle. But you can go through it even if you're 190 cm tall.

The opposite stele can only be reached via an exposed area. Be careful: the path is slippery and you must be careful not to be afraid of heights. The view from the other side is phenomenal, but the path to get there is extremely dangerous. The “Buraco de São Pedro” is believed to be a lava tube or lava field collapse caused by volcanic activity. Such formations are formed when underground lava flows cool and retreat, causing the surface to collapse and form caves or holes.
