10月 5, 2025, Cascata delle Sette Fontane
OK, it didn't look quite as magnificent in September, but it was definitely worth seeing.

This route is absolutely a very challenging one! We started hiking from Rotzo with children aged 5 to 10. It's just manageable up to the waterfalls and a very beautiful hike. At the waterfall itself, there's a pleasant flat section but with dangerously deep drops. The return route is downright dangerous from the start and not recommended. We explored the route a bit further, and there it's even risky for adults. Many other hikers turned back as well.

6月 29, 2025, Cascata dei Papalini
The Cascata dei Papalini suddenly appears in a small clearing in the heart of the forest, along the path: over time the falling water has formed a columnar deposit of gray limestone that descends like a drape and that partly acts as a springboard for the jet. But the peculiarity and spectacular nature of this waterfall is the possibility of seeing it even from behind the scenes: in fact, by climbing to the left on a short but steep path, you reach a natural roof of the rock from which you can observe the forest below through the curtain of water, without getting wet! The passage is not protected and is wet, so you need to pay particular attention. Like all torrential waterfalls, it is not always full and active: you need to look for the right period, perhaps after heavy rains, to visit it in all its thunderous splendor.

11月 6, 2024, Cascata delle Sette Fontane
Numerous streams descend from the Altopiano delle Montagnole, creating lively waterfalls in secluded valleys. The Sette Fontane waterfall, rather than a vertical waterfall, is a sloping section of the stream that descends between the rocks: to be visited in post-rain periods, to find it impetuous and swollen. Nearby, continuing along the path to the left, you come to another small intake structure that cuts the Lora stream. In the 1920s, all this wealth of water was exploited by the Lanificio Marzotto to produce electricity, with a system of waterworks that are still functioning: three small concrete dams, corresponding to as many springs (Lora, Sette Fontane and Lambre), convey the water into the Obante basin below (capacity 800 cubic meters), next to the road that goes up to the Rifugio Battisti; from there, via a forced conduit, it reaches the Gazza Power Plant, further downstream, to generate hydroelectric energy (175 l/s, 2,500 MWh). The waterfalls and the structures cross each other along the Sentiero delle Cascate, a simple family-sized ring, immersed in the woods, which starts from Malga Lora or Vasca Obante and goes up to Rifugio Battisti, and then descends again.

7月 17, 2024, Cubo di Vetro e Cascata di Brazzavalle
Not a particularly large waterfall, but visible from a characteristic shelter that overlooks the waterfall itself. It can be reached from Malga Prà via a path immersed in the woods. The trail is a bit challenging and has ropes in some places. Attention: the highlight is marked as mountain biking, but the waterfall can only be reached on foot!!!!

6月 10, 2024, Former Italy–Austria Border Monument
Commemorative stone marking the former border between the Kingdom of Italy and the Austro-Hungarian Empire until the end of World War I. The border between the two states in the upper Astico Valley had a curious layout: from the hamlet of Busatti, upstream, to the village of Casotto, downstream, the territory to the left of the river was Austrian, while that to the right was Italian. Each citizen had its own route to travel this stretch of the valley, without having to cross the border: the Austrians had the current internal road, while the Italians had the current and parallel state road 350, which connects the Vicenza area to Trentino. At this point, just outside Casotto, the Torra stream marked the demarcation between the two states; the Braidi Bridge, guarded by a garrison, was an important passage for goods and people. With Italy's victory and the annexation of the unredeemed lands, it became the border between Trentino and Veneto. But in 1929, against the will of the inhabitants, a fascist decree imposed that Pedemonte and Casotto pass from the Province of Trento to that of Vicenza: the border between the two regions was moved further upstream, above the village of Lastebasse. An old photo illustrates a moment of conviviality and respect between Austrian customs officers and Italian Carabinieri, sitting at the same table. The original memorial stone is located in the Valdastico cemetery. https://www.freeforumzone.com/mobile/d/11171728/Valle-dell-Astico-e-le-due-strade-sul-confine-parallelo/discussione.aspx

5月 23, 2024, Cubo di Vetro e Cascata di Brazzavalle
The Brazzavalle waterfall is a 30-meter drop from the Le Fratte stream, nestled in a picturesque and pristine environment, nestled and "hidden" among woods and rocks. Just above the waterfall, a suspended walkway has been installed, culminating in a transparent glass cube: from there, you can admire the cascading water, with the void beneath your feet; a dizzying and breathtaking sensation! The structure, called the "Glass Cube," opened in 2020, is 3 meters long and 80 cm wide. The EE trail that leads to the waterfall in about fifteen minutes can be slippery on wet ground, but ropes help with the more difficult sections.

Fantastic path that constantly runs along the valley and the river, a path that leads to the Castiglieri cross, one of the most beautiful places to visit for those who live in the area. Campotamaso, Valdagno. Super recommended, to do at least once

4月 10, 2024, Val del Boia
The deep, shady Boja Valley is a captivating and pristine environment: wild, humid, lush, captivating, and abundant with water. It flows alongside the rushing stream and encounters spectacular and unexpected waterfalls. It is, of course, at its best after days of heavy rain. It is essentially the outward journey of the Braggion Trail, which runs as a loop from/to Campotamaso. It can be treacherous due to the damp and wet terrain, although the most difficult sections are equipped with steel cables, steps, and small bridges. Many documents refer to it as the "Enchanted Valley" for its fairytale appearance, populated by anguàne and salbanèi. "Val del Boja" takes its name from a legend with horror overtones... A solitary family lived here: father, mother, and son, but the young woman died of illness; The man raised his son, named Mattia, with love, earning a living by working as a woodcutter, woodcarver, and herder. He always kept him with him, fearing something would happen to him; but one day, when the boy was eighteen, he sent him alone to sell the fruits of their labor in the village. Just on the way home, the young man was attacked and killed by bandits. When his father learned of this, he went mad and began killing anyone he encountered along the paths with an axe... a hangman, indeed! Until, one stormy night, he died, crying out the name of his beloved son for the last time.

4月 10, 2024, Sentiero Braggion
A beautiful and evocative trail, with a wide variety of environments and terrain, well-marked: it's usually followed clockwise, parking near the church of Campotamaso and completing a 7km loop with an elevation gain of 450m. On the outward journey, you ascend the cool and humid Val del Boia, alongside the lively stream and discovering a series of unexpected and impetuous waterfalls, in the midst of a jungle-like forest! It's naturally at its best after heavy rains, leaving you speechless before the richness and power of the water. At the Baita Vecia, the halfway point and the pace change: the return journey unfolds in a succession of ups and downs, with a ledge through steep woods that then transforms into a remarkable segment literally on the ridge, on the edge of two valleys: from the panoramic viewpoint of Monte Turigi, you can enjoy a beautiful all-round view. The trail, named after Gianni Braggion of Campotomaso, who died in a tragic mountain accident in 1990, is maintained (very well) by volunteers from his hometown. The loop is not difficult, but it shouldn't be underestimated: several sections are exposed and the trail can be slippery; steel cables, small bridges, and wooden steps facilitate the more risky sections. http://www.campotamaso.it/html/sentiero_braggion.html

12月 9, 2023, Cubo di Vetro e Cascata di Brazzavalle
The Brazzavalle Waterfall is a suggestive waterfall in the woods, about 30 meters high, in the Balasso area. Above the waterfall, at the jump, there is the Glass Cube, a cantilevered platform that allows you to admire the waterfall while observing the void below.

10月 6, 2023, Cascate del Silan
Among the Bassano hills, the Silàn stream rises in the hamlet of Valrovina and descends along the valley of the same name, forming here a spectacular and unexpected waterfall with jutting out and natural pools of crystalline water. The waterfall ends in an enchanting clearing, in the middle of a lush forest with impressive centuries-old chestnut trees, with enormous and twisted trunks. 'Silàn' is a Cimbrian toponym that means 'place where water flows'.

8月 27, 2023, Val dei Molini
The Val dei Molini is a surprisingly unspoiled and wild environment, where you enter a mysterious and evocative forest: water dominates, forming lively waterfalls and deep ravines; everywhere, lush moss covers rocks and tree trunks. You cross a series of small valleys (Val Sesura, Valle Arlene, Val dell'Asino, Val del Gambero, Val Smiderle, Val Bisele) and ford several streams that eventually flow into the Refosco stream. The Val d'Asino is particularly evocative, where two streams join in an enchanting clearing, forming waterfalls and a deep, winding ravine. The name reflects how the stream was once exploited: the remains of man-made structures, such as stone masonry and building foundations, bear witness to this. Obviously, the valley is at its best after days of rain.

4月 29, 2023, Gorghi Scuri
The Valle dei Gorghi Scuri is a fascinating and narrow impluvium full of waterfalls, natural pools, whirlpools and lively waterways formed by the Valletta stream, which originates right here. As a frame, a florid and lush vegetation of ferns and moss. The path starts from the hamlet of Capo di Sopra, along a dirt road that runs along the rising gorge carved out by the stream from above, where the first water features can be glimpsed; from here you reach the upper part, the most evocative and fairy-tale-like, where you can venture off-track, as far as the water and rocks allow depending on the season. I recommend the route after the rains, even if the path can be slippery (EE), and in spring/summer, when very green and lush vegetation frames the water.
