**PLEASE NOTE** Entrance to the Tortworth Lake / Estate grounds is ONLY available on the FIRST SUNDAY of each month from February to the end of October!! (I wish I'd known that before this mess of a hike. In January. On a Monday 🙈🤣). Opening times vary depending on the month, but it is only open on the first Sunday of each month. See photo here for the opening times (and a screenshot from the website). If you DO head here on a different day, the woodland nearby IS really stunning, so it is still worth a walk 🥰✨️

Picturesque Cotswold village built around the church of St Andrew. There is a pretty village pond and a pub.

A brilliant gravel track through a wonderful valley.

A stunning valley with lots of option for walking or cycling.

Amazing views, with some beautiful white dusty roads, what I imagine riding in Tuscany to feel like on a sunny day. The second half back out of the valley is a very steep climb but a fun challenge

A delightful footpath through the valley to the lakes. Gets a little boggy around the lakes, but nothing too bad.

This used to be in the grounds of the Mawdesley's electrical motor factory, but now sits within a modern estate. If you're passing through, it's a beautiful little spot to check out.

Quintessential Cotswolds gravel, complete with its own private lake. Great tracks with a bit of a tough climb to get out the other side. Nice quiet spot to stop for a picnic.
