The fortress hill of the Prizren Fortress, east of the old town, has long been a strategically important base and offers visitors a panoramic view of the city, plain and mountain range. Bogorodica Ljeviška (Serbian Cyrillic Богородица Љевишка, Albanian Kisha e Shën Premtës, or Xhamia e Xhumasë) is the Serbian Orthodox central church of Prizren and the cathedral of the Eparchy of Raszien-Prizren.
