Walk down the embankment to the side of the river for an even better view

A beautiful secluded valley which is lovely and tranquil. Abbey Brook is home to a series of waterfalls but the path is at a much higher level with a very steep slope down to the Brook.

A beautiful waterfall next to the path in Lady Clough woods aka Snake Woodland

Definitely not as frequented as some of the other paths in this area, this path is boggy and wet underfoot in places. It gives you a great view of the spectacular northern edge of Kinder Scout however.

A short scramble down the banking from the main path and you're at the foot of this beautiful waterfall in Blackden Brook. There is a small pool (I'm not sure if it's deep enough to swim but probably deep enough for a dip).

A challenging scramble with some sections of waterfall to climb. Best attempted after a dry spell when it's much drier.

Good path following the Ashop onto the back of Kinder from the Snake Pass Inn on the A57. Great views of the edge of the plateau from the start and has a hidden valley feel to it from about half way. Greeted with stunning views of the Kinder reservoir and Manchester once over the top
