A pretty mere pond in Walton-on-the-Hill, with a cafe nearby, so a great place to stop for a break. Very calm and peaceful with a number of benches to enjoy.

On the slopes of Leith Hill, Friday Street is especially beautiful in the spring when the area is resplendent with bluebells. The mill pond is wonderfully calming, just watch for the ducks that occasionally waddle about. Head up the road to the west of the pond to find the Stephen Langton Inn, tucked away in the woodland it is a hidden gem of Surrey.

Popular with dog walkers, hikers and cyclists, Black Pond suddenly appears as you walk along the path. It is a calm oasis so close to the busy A3. The lake was dug to supply water to Claremont Gardens, a landscape garden close by, now managed by the National Trust.

This mill pond powered a hammer mill here until the eighteenth century. It's a beautiful spot, relatively quiet, but popular at weekends. The Stephen Langton pub just down the road used to be a draw, but is currently closed and up for sale.
