Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden consists of 130 acres (52 ha) of ancient woodland with over 3.5 miles (5.6 km) of paths. It has a tearoom, gift shop, bird hides, children's nature trail and plant sales area. In the spring you can see the UK's finest collection of Candelabra Primulas as well as bluebells, camellia's and wood anemones. In summer there are Hydrangeas, Philadelphus and many wild flowers. Migrant birds and other wildlife come to the garden in the autumn, and there are many varieties of fungi and toadstools. In the winter you might be able to spot kingfishers, deer and otters. This viewpoint looks over the expansive freshwater lake of Barton Broad in Norfolk. The lake features gorgeous reed beds and waterlilies that provide home for a number of wonderful bird species including marsh harriers, bitterns, and great crested grebes. Boating enthusiasts are often seen exploring the lake's waters too.

Ranworth is a picture postcard village in the heart of the Broads alongside Ranworth and Malthouse Broad just off the River Bure. The village has moorings, a pub and village store and the church is known for exceptional views once you have climbed the tower, with a huge area of the Broads visible from the top. The National Trust has a floating Broads Wildlife Centre that is reached by a boardwalk from the village and has a panoramic vista across the water. .

Great place have a break, several public benches &picnic tables, drinking water tap (intended for boaters but available to all), cafe and shop.

South Walsham Broad is a beautiful place to be. With the sounds of birdsong and gently lapping water blowing in the wind, it is a serene lake that is perfect to stop and take a moment at.
